  Era: Ming Dynasty

Address: Xijiang Village, Shuiting She Ethnic Township, Lanxi City, Jinhua, Zhejiang Province

Facing east and west, the layout features four successive sections from front to back along with side rooms. The middle hall of the second section stands independently, with the total area covering approximately 2,000 square meters. The first gate has been destroyed; the ceremonial gate spans eleven bays in width and has a depth of six bays with a rear eave corridor, using central columns and a flush gable roof. The front eaves originally featured a brick-carved gate tower, and the central bay had a movable stage, though several central bays have been destroyed. The middle hall has five bays, with a beam frame consisting of a five-rafter beam flanked by double steps both front and back, together with front and rear corridors. The beams are shaped like winter melons, and the bluestone platform foundation has two levels—the first level is 0.52 meters high, and the second 0.38 meters high. The central golden columns are spindle-shaped, and the roof is of the hip-and-gable style. The rear sleeping quarters span five bays with a depth of six bays featuring a front eave corridor and use central columns. The platform base is 0.86 meters high, and the roof is of the flush gable style. On both sides of the rear hall are small courtyards, each consisting of three bays and two wing rooms. The rear section, composed of the rear hall and the two small courtyards, follows a “five visible, eleven hidden” structural format. Seven side rooms are situated on either side of the middle hall and between the front and rear sections.

Xijiang Ancestral Hall is decorated with simple yet classic carvings and built with relatively large materials. It is a high-standard and large-scale folk ancestral hall in the province.

Xijiang Ancestral Hall is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
