Zhuque Mountain

Zhuque Mountain
Zhuque Mountain has an elevation of 817 meters. The mountain features steep slopes, oddly shaped rocks, dense woods, and a rustic appearance. On the eastern peak lies a massive pig-shaped rock over 10 meters long, known as “Demon Pig Stone,” followed by five smaller stone pigs. The head of the stone pig faces the mountain top while its tail points downward, as if it is walking. That’s why Zhuque Mountain is also called “Pig Mountain.”

  Attractions

In summer, visitors can enjoy hiking on Zhuque Mountain. The main peak, Daojian Peak—also known as Pig’s Mouth Crag—rises abruptly among surrounding peaks and stands right by the river. From the summit, one can gaze into the distance and faintly see the Fengman Dam. Surrounded by embracing mountains and connected waters, the scenery captivates visitors with nature’s charm. In winter, visitors can fully enjoy skiing, riding horse-pulled sleds, and sledding on Zhuque Mountain.

Zhuque Mountain Forest Park is part of the Songhua Lake Experimental Forest Farm in Jilin City and is one of the city’s four famous mountains. It can be reached by traveling 8 kilometers south from Jilin Bridge in downtown.

  Transportation

You can take a special minibus to the Fengman Hydropower Station to reach the scenic spot.
