Woka Sansheng

Woka Sansheng refers to the Wodegongjie Snow Mountain in the Woka area and the three sacred rivers—the Zengqi River, the Black Dragon River, and the Derimu River—on it, as well as seven hot springs.

The main peak of Wodegongjie Snow Mountain is about 6,000 meters above sea level, featuring beautiful scenery and a pristine environment. Before founding the Gelug sect, Tsongkhapa practiced and preached on this mountain, which is why Wodegongjie Snow Mountain is regarded as a sacred mountain. On the mountain lies Qulong Temple, which legend says was personally built by Tsongkhapa and is considered the earliest monastery of the Gelug sect. The temple also houses sacred relics such as stones bearing Tsongkhapa’s handprint and headprint, as well as a hoof from the yak he rode.

The Zengqi River, Black Dragon River, and Derimu River in Woka

are regarded as sacred rivers, each said to represent the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Vajradhara, and the God of 0, respectively.

There are seven hot springs in Woka, scattered in a star-like pattern across the grasslands of Woka Township. Rich in various minerals, they are known for their significant therapeutic and health benefits. Among them, the ZhuoluoKa Hot Spring, exclusively used by 0, is the most famous. Many visitors come here to relax and bathe during spring and summer.
