The Premier Stand of Yajia Pines The Yajia Pine is the only Hainan endemic species distributed in the Yajia Ridge. It features a well-rounded, straight trunk and lush needle-like leaves. This stand is located on the steep cliffs along 15 kilometers of the eastern highway of the Bawangling Forestry Bureau, covering a total area of about 20 hectares. The trees have an average age of 200 years, an average diameter at breast height of 60 centimeters, and a height of 30 meters. They are the most towering species in the tropical rainforest. Coupled with the dramatically differentiated cliffs and massive erratics, the area resembles a “Mini Huangshan” landscape at Guangmingding.
