Located in Zhaiba Village, Mouluo Town, Lichuan City. A stele house is a unique architectural structure where the tomb is built behind the main hall. The Queyan Dun Stele House was built in 1929. It faces east and is composed of the stele house, the tomb mound, and the tomb stele. The stele house is a four-bay, three-room wooden building, measuring 15 meters in width and 7.44 meters in depth, with a gable-and-hip roof covered in green tiles. The tomb mound is made of stone and is situated behind the main hall of the stele house, with a corridor pavilion built on top. The tomb stele is set on the rear wall of the main hall, standing approximately 3.8 meters tall with a round top. This structure is currently the only preserved stele house in the western Hubei and eastern Sichuan regions, and holds significant importance for the study of the Tujia people’s concepts of life and death as well as their funeral customs.
