As of 2005, the Bawangling Forestry Bureau had built a total of six cascade hydropower stations—the first, second, and third levels—on the Yajia River, with a combined installed capacity of 6,000 kilowatts, generating an annual output of 17 million kilowatt-hours and achieving an annual output value of over 6 million yuan.
