Former Residence of Li Jiajun
The former residence of Li Jiajun is situated about 400 meters south of Houping Village, Gujun Township, Jiuyuan Town, Wanyuan City. It follows a traditional three-section courtyard design. In those days, Li Jiajun and his comrades planned and completed the preparatory work for the Gujun Uprising here on multiple occasions. The current structure was rebuilt according to the design Li Jiajun created in 1926. It covers an area of 932 square meters, featuring a two-story building with a flat roof. The main section is five bays wide, totaling 24.5 meters, and four bays deep, totaling 18 meters, with a total height of 6.5 meters. The ground floor is 3.2 meters high. The central door lintel is adorned with a black-lacquered, gold-plated wooden plaque inscribed with “Former Residence of Martyr Li Jiajun.” Inside the residence, there is a full-body statue of Martyr Li Jiajun, a brief restoration record, and an exhibition room dedicated to his life and achievements. Some of the original furniture is also displayed in the various rooms. In 1987, Zhang Aiping, then State Councilor and Minister of Defense, inscribed the nameplate for the “Former Residence of Li Jiajun.”
