Mostaganem
Mostaganem is situated on the northwestern coast of Algeria along the Mediterranean Sea, on the eastern shore of the Arzew Bay. It is the capital of Mostaganem Province and was established in the 11th century. The city lies 72 kilometers from Oran. It is a well-known port city in Algeria and plays a significant role in the country’s economic development.

As an important port city in Algeria, one of the earliest proposals for the Algeria–Italy Trans-Mediterranean Intercontinental Gas Pipeline project in the 1970s was to cross the Mediterranean from Mostaganem to Cartagena in Spain. Within the city, trees of various shapes stand tall and sturdy, while numerous aromatic spice plants fill the air with their fragrance, creating a tropical atmosphere. The city’s coastline is exceptionally pristine, adding to its charm and attracting many visitors who come to enjoy its vast, unspoiled seaside scenery.
