Deng Zihui's Former Residence
Deng Zihui's Former Residence, also known as Longde Hall, was built during the Qing Dynasty and originally featured a traditional three-hall, two-courtyard earthen structure. On August 17, 1896, Deng Zihui was born here. After joining the revolution, he led the establishment of the Dengcuo Village Poor and Landless Peasants' Association here, and directed the armed uprising of peasants in Western Fujian. Between 1928 and 1930, the residence was burned down four times by the Kuomintang army. Since 1985, the People's Government has allocated funds multiple times to restore the residence to its original appearance.
