Puguang Old Street
Puguang Old Street is a testament to the history and culture of the Ba people in Luojiaba. The ancient Luojiaba Ba Culture Site, with a long history, is situated in the alluvial fan where the Zhonghe and Houhe rivers converge at the tail end of Jiangkou Lake in Xuanhan County. Luojiaba and Zhangjiaba are both on the platform field of Jinhua Village in Puguang Town. From Muyu Mountain in the inner dam, it’s about two kilometers along a country path to an old ferry crossing by wooden boat. Once ashore, you’ll arrive in Puguang Town.

The total length of Puguang Old Street is over 300 meters. Clean, simple flagstone roads, bluestone streets, memorial archways, and the former deep courtyards appear here and there. Under the well-spaced rooftops of rural houses, clusters of corn, sorghum, and plump green beans hang in rows. At the center of the street stands a grand stone memorial archway that has weathered time and wind — a reflection of the glory this ancient street once held.
