Yunyang Three Gorges Cultural Relics Park

　　    Yunyang Three Gorges Cultural Relics Park is situated in Zhaiba Village, Shuangjiang Town, spanning 24.15 acres and built with a total investment of 16 million yuan. The eleven cultural heritage sites within the park were originally located below the 175-meter water level before being relocated. Due to their significant historical value, they were designated as protected relocation and reconstruction projects under the unified planning of the State Three Gorges Project Construction Committee and the National Cultural Heritage Administration.

　　    The relocation project began in December 2000, and all relocation work was completed by the end of 2008. Landscaping and thematic exhibition arrangements were gradually improved in 2009, and the park officially opened to the public on October 1, 2009. Thanks to the attention and support from leaders at all levels, and through eight years of dedicated effort by cultural heritage workers, the eleven historic sites have been preserved in their original style and are now collectively displayed here — truly a precious gift to the people of Yunyang.
