Khaudum National Park
Khaudum Nature Reserve was established in 1989 and was upgraded from a nature reserve to Khaudum National Park in February 2007. It is located in northeastern Namibia, near Botswana, covering an area of 3,842 square kilometers. This park lies within one of the most remote areas of Namibia. Due to the rough road conditions, it receives very few visitors, yet it uniquely attracts adventurous travelers seeking outdoor exploration.

Deep within the dense woodlands of Khaudum National Park live a number of large wildlife species, such as elephants, giraffes, leopards, hyenas, African wild dogs, and 320 species of birds. A trip here is filled with adventure, allowing visitors to observe these African animals up close, quietly watching them play, forage, or even fiercely compete for prey. The park is dotted with twelve artificial waterholes and two natural springs that supply ample water for the wildlife. The best time to visit is during the dry winter months, typically between June and October, and it is recommended to drive a 4x4 vehicle.
