Dakongbang Geyser Group is located in a valley of a tributary stream near Dakongbang Village, about 14 km southwest of the county town. The geyser group is large in scale, appearing in a ribbon-like formation with dozens of outlets. The highest water temperature reaches 96°C, the lowest 60°C, the maximum flow rate is 21.97 liters per second, and the minimum is 1 liter per second. The springs emit a strong smell of hydrogen sulfide and contain various trace elements such as lithium, fluorine, silica, metasilicic acid, strontium, and chromium, which have significant therapeutic effects for medical treatment, physiotherapy, and overall health.
Hot Water Waterfall: Formed by the convergence of hot springs, it creates a waterfall with a drop of 12 meters and a width of 1 meter. The cascading water gathers at the foot of the mountain into a hot water pool measuring 10×10 m², with a water temperature of 54°C. The pool is clear and blue, surrounded by rising steam, and has a comfortable temperature, making it an excellent natural hot spring swimming area.
Roaring Geyser: Located just 1 meter beside the waterfall, with a temperature of 96°C. Steam shoots out from rock crevices with tremendous pressure, forming a plume as thick as a basin’s opening, shooting horizontally several meters away and accompanied by a deafening roar that echoes through the valley. The sight is spectacular and magnificent. Taking a natural steam bath here is truly an extraordinary experience.
Mandarin Duck Twin Waterfalls: A pair of small twin waterfalls—one hot and one cold. The hot one has a water temperature of 58.2°C. The two waterfalls are 15 meters apart, with gentle streams gushing down from the cliffs, resembling a pair of affectionate lovers whispering sweet nothings to each other.
