Liangshan Tianchi is situated to the south of Yongbao Township, 66 km from the county seat and 7 km from the Yongbao Township center, at an altitude of 2400m. It holds 2.4 million cubic meters of water, covers an area of 0.1 km², and enjoys a cool and moist climate, making it an ideal summer retreat. To the south of the lake lies the vast expanse of Liangshan — a 19,600-mu ecological forest farm; to the north is a vibrant grassland flower sea where grass grows and cherry blossoms flutter. The lake, forest, and grassland coexist in harmony, complementing each other to form a breathtaking landscape painting. For urban residents weary of pollution and noise, longing to escape the hustle and bustle and return to nature, this is undoubtedly a prime ecological resort destination.
Liangshan Tianchi: Liangshan Tianchi is a rare gem nestled high in the mountains of Liangshan, exuding natural beauty and refined elegance. Describing its water as “crystal-clear and jade-green, so transparent that fish and pebbles can be seen even at great depths” is no exaggeration. Rowing on the lake, you’ll see the clear turquoise waters, ducks playing, birds chasing, willows swaying, and bamboo casting dancing shadows — a dreamlike, intoxicating scene that feels like stepping into Tao Yuanming’s Peach Blossom Spring. A gentle breeze brushes by, instantly refreshing your mind and body, as if a magical remedy that brings immense joy. There is also a small natural island in the lake, covered with lush trees and blooming wildflowers, making the entire scenic area fairy-tale-like and utterly enchanting, leaving visitors enchanted and reluctant to leave.
Liangshan Forest: Covering 19,600 mu, the Liangshan Forest is shaded by a canopy of green, with ancient towering trees. Strolling through the woods, you’ll find wildflowers and fruits on the ground, mountain streams and springs, fresh air, and the chirping of birds — all of which allow you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty and purity of nature.
Grassland Flower Sea: To the north of the lake, on the slopes at an altitude of 2410m, lies a gently undulating, open natural grassland spanning 0.15 km². The meadow is covered with lush green grass, blooming flowers of various colors, and flocks of snow-white sheep leisurely grazing, creating a serene and expansive pastoral scene. Sit down on the grass, and in the distance you can gaze at the vast forests, while nearby the crystal-clear lake beckons — a picturesque landscape of lucid waters and lush mountains that is truly mesmerizing.
