Manghuai Neolithic Site

　　  Multiple Neolithic sites are distributed along the Lancang River basin within Yun County. Research indicates that they date back over four thousand years, proving that humans inhabited the Lancang River basin in Yun County more than four millennia ago. Due to their distinctive features, representing a relatively independent type of Neolithic culture, historians have classified them as the "Manghuai-type" Neolithic culture.
