The park remains in a pristine state, untouched by human development. Due to its wild nature, vehicles cannot access the area, making it ideal for hiking. The park is dominated by canyons carved by the Snowy River, including the deepest canyon in Victoria. In addition to canyons, it also features forests, streams, and lakes. To date, over 250 native animal species have been found in the park, including 29 that are rare or endangered in Victoria, such as the spotted-tailed quoll, long-footed potoroo, and great barred frog.
One of the most thrilling activities in the park is white-water rafting, navigating through fast-flowing rivers surrounded by towering canyons. As the rafts rush downstream with the current, the experience is both fun and exhilarating. While enjoying the adrenaline rush, visitors can also admire the magnificent scenery along the riverbanks.
