The park features a diverse range of landscapes, from temperate rainforests of eucalyptus trees to alpine bogs, all stunningly beautiful and a feast for the eyes. Visitors can enjoy cascading waterfalls, babbling streams, emerald lakes, deep valleys, lush trees, fragrant flowers, singing birds, and elusive wildlife. Highlights within the park include Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Lady Barron Falls, and Mount Field itself. The park is also home to many native Tasmanian animals, such as wombats, platypuses, eastern barred bandicoots, and Tasmanian devils.
