The museum also contains artifacts dating back to the Acheulean culture of 4000 BC, including the oldest human remains found in Morocco. The terrace section showcases some of Morocco’s finest inscriptions—for example, epitaphs on tombstones—whose content and scripts help determine the period and date of the tombs. Additionally, the museum houses coins, pottery from the early and middle Islamic periods, as well as a plate dating back to the 14th century.
