Located northeast of Louwo Village in Shagou Town, it has an elevation of 265.4 meters. The Qing Dynasty’s “Yi County Annals” records: “Jiaoshan, located 50 kilometers northwest of the county, is a bare mountain devoid of vegetation. From afar, it looks scorched, and on its shady side lies a ravine. Its sides are sheer cliffs, with water emerging from stone crevices, gathering into a pool. The clear waves ripple through the gravel. After rain, springs gush forth.” This spring is called Jiaoshan Spring, and its waters converge in Heiyu Reservoir before flowing into Hongtu River. Jiaoshan serves as a strategic passageway from the south to Xincheng, holding a prominent geographical position.
