The Northeast Coast National Trail System is located in the northeastern region of Taiwan. The main trails currently consist of the Caoling Ancient Trail, Longling Ancient Trail, and Chinpei Monument Ancient Trail, while branch trails include the Can Guang Liao Mountain–Wu’er Tea Pot Mountain–Keelung Mountain Trail. Among these, the Caoling Ancient Trail and Longling Ancient Trail are within the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area, while the Chinpei Monument Ancient Trail and Keelung Mountain–Can Guang Liao Mountain Trail are located in Ruifang Township, Keelung City.
A management office for the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area has been established to oversee development, construction, and operations in the area. To date, tourist and recreational facilities have been completed at various attractions including Nanya, Bitou Cape, Dragon Cave Bay, Dragon Cave South Entrance, Golden Sand Bay, Yenliao, Longmen, Fulong, Shicheng, Dali, and Beiguan. There is also a visitor service center that provides information on travel, accommodation, and transportation, as well as public facilities such as restrooms and dining options available for use.
