Xuanchuan Taoist Temple in Deqing

Xuanchuan Taoist Temple is situated in Xiantan Village, Moganshan Town, Deqing County, Zhejiang Province. According to the "Guian County Annals" of Huzhou, it was first constructed in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and was rebuilt in the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934). The temple primarily enshrines Lü Dongbin, the Pure Yang Patriarch. At the entrance to the mountain leading to the temple, there is a pair of natural stone lion-like rocks on either side, resembling two lions welcoming visitors — locals call this formation the "Stone Gate."

The Hall of Lüzu is built in a hip-and-gable roof style. Half of the main hall is constructed over a stream, and the other half is backed against the mountain rock, connecting directly to the Immortal Cave. The ancient hall has retained its Republic of China–era architectural style. Today, Xuanchuan Taoist Temple is managed by Taoist Priest Zhang Luozhen.
