Established in the mid-1980s, the National Art Museum of China National Academy of Painting has flourished over the decades and is now presenting itself in a brand-new guise as a cultural window for the China National Academy of Painting. It plays an increasingly important role in the contemporary cultural arena, with its cultural functions and academic value becoming ever more prominent. Serving as a bridge and bond that extends the cultural development and artistic exhibitions of the China National Academy of Painting to the outside world, it also acts as a focal point and promotional platform for the growth and display of contemporary Chinese painting art. Guided by the principles of "nurturing talent to invigorate the museum, strengthening the museum through scholarship, and establishing the museum with service," the museum contributes to the advancement of Chinese painting art.

As an affiliate of the China National Academy of Painting, the National Art Museum of China National Academy of Painting is located at No. 54, West Third Ring North Road, Beijing. It covers an exhibition area of approximately 1,900 square meters, with around 400 meters of hanging space, and includes five exhibition halls and a VIP lounge. The museum features flexible, movable partition walls, and its lighting, temperature, humidity, and soundproof wall panels all meet international museum standards. The facility is scientifically equipped, and the outer corridor houses a gallery and a book bar, completing the museum’s construction with fundamentally humanized services. It serves as a key external exhibition platform for our academy. We are committed to developing the National Art Museum of China National Academy of Painting into a hub for five core functions: art exhibitions, collections, research, international art exchanges, and major art events. Our operational philosophy and guidelines must align with the demands of the times. In line with our academy’s academic development requirements, we aim to elevate the overall standards of the museum. We emphasize brand awareness and are dedicated to establishing a strong reputation for our museum within the Chinese painting community.

Currently, to better serve society, the museum is actively working on upgrading its hardware facilities. Our goal is to advance the museum’s functions in exhibitions, collections, research, exchanges, and social services toward a scientific, artistic, and international platform, laying a solid foundation for the development of the museum’s cultural functions. In our future work, we will continue to demonstrate proactive initiative, strengthen internal scientific management, and uphold an operational philosophy that integrates academic rigor and spiritual depth. We will constantly refine and enhance ourselves, striving to elevate the museum’s cultural brand and academic positioning. In doing so, we aim to contribute to the inheritance and development of Chinese painting as a traditional art form, as well as to add luster to the progress of China’s museum industry.
