“Qikai Nao” is a Mongolian term meaning “Fragrant Horse Milk Lake.” Throughout history, eminent monks, referencing the Mongolian belief in the purity of horse milk, named it the “Fragrant Horse Milk Lake.” Since then, the area has enjoyed favorable weather and abundant harvests. In gratitude, the people built the “Dragon King Temple” to the west and the “Naogaobule Temple” to the east of Qikai Nao to show their respect.

The fishing industry in the Qikai Nao tourist area has a long history. Since its establishment in 1958, it has developed into a leisure tourism zone covering an area of 15,000 mu, integrating fishery production with tourism. The area is home to more than 10 varieties of natural fish, as well as dozens of bird species such as Relict Gulls, Bean Geese, and Egrets. With a pleasant climate and beautiful scenery, the tourist area currently offers recreational activities including water sports, sandy beaches, horseback hunting, grassland sightseeing, and fishing. A rich “All-Fish Banquet” and the uniquely flavored hand-grabbed meat will surely delight your taste buds.

Address: 10 km south of Nalinxili Town, Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
