Baoshan Park

Baoshan Park is situated on Baoshan Mountain in the center of today’s Huazhou urban area and was once one of the ancient “Eight Scenic Spots,” famed as “Baoshan’s Verdant Accumulation.” In 1964, it was established as a martyrs’ cemetery, and then redesigned as Baoshan Park in 1984. The park covers an area of approximately 25,000 square meters. The main entrance is located at the cemetery intersection on the eastern side, where stone steps lead up to the mountaintop. At the summit stands a Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs. Surrounding the mountain are pavilions such as Jingyang (Admiration), Juxiang (Orange Fragrance), Jicui (Accumulated Greenery), and Longyin (Dragon’s Roar). There are two circular mountain paths lined with stone terraces and benches for visitors to rest. The park is richly planted with flowers, plants, and trees, offering shaded walkways. From the top, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the urban area, making it a great destination for sightseeing in the city.
