Three Gorges Square

　　Three Gorges Square is situated in the heart of Shapingba District, Chongqing, and features a cross-shaped design spanning a total area of 80,000 square meters. It comprises four parts: the Three Gorges Scenic Garden, the Celebrity Sculpture Garden, the Green Art Garden, and the commercial pedestrian street. The Three Gorges Scenic Garden is the core component of the square, condensing the grandeur of the Three Gorges Dam, showcasing the picturesque scenery of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, and steeped in rich Bayu culture.

　　Three Gorges Art Stele

　　　　The Three Gorges Art Stele is the iconic structure of Three Gorges Square. Located at the center of the square, it is built from the tetrahedral river closure stone used in the Three Gorges Dam project in Chongqing, standing 19 meters tall, majestic and reaching straight toward the sky. The water screen movie is one of the most distinctive attractions in the Three Gorges Scenic Garden, measuring 25 meters wide and 18 meters high — currently the largest of its kind in Western China. Every evening, it draws thousands of visitors. The Poetry Stele Forest is another highlight of the Three Gorges Scenic Garden, featuring 23 carved poems that encapsulate the admiration for the Three Gorges expressed by poets and masters throughout history. 　　Celebrity Sculpture Garden

　　The Celebrity Sculpture Garden is located to the south of Three Gorges Square on flat terrain. It displays statues of notable figures who once lived in Shapingba District, including 15 cultural celebrities such as Guo Moruo, Ba Jin, Feng Zikai, and Bing Xin. This complements Shapingba District’s identity as Chongqing’s cultural hub.
