The green space is composed of dense large trees, various flowering shrubs, and ground cover plants, with landscaping arranged according to the principle of planting suitable species in suitable locations.
The park features some distinctive green landscapes, including tall and lush bamboo groves, evergreen pine forests, tropical-themed date palms and coconut trees, as well as vividly seasonal koelreuteria trees. Along the lake, there are fragrant peach and plum trees and swaying weeping willows, offering a rich variety of well-coordinated plantings.
Chimney: Fiber optics light up the night sky. The chimney from the former Great China Rubber Factory was not demolished during the park’s construction but was instead heightened by 11 meters. Designers ingeniously created a hollow “top hat” for the added section, filled with fiber optic strands. When illuminated, the light shines through the outer casing, resembling white smoke billowing from the chimney’s top, spreading beautifully across the night sky.
Park: A miniature of Shanghai. The overall layout of the park resembles the map of Shanghai, with the lake designed in the shape of the Huangpu River. Notably, four “bridges”—“Xupu,” “Lupu,” “Nanpu,” and “Yangpu”—span the “Huangpu River,” and at the first bend of the lake, a replica of the Yu Garden landscape has been created, showcasing the park’s clever design in cultural and scenic elements.
