Haishi Park

Haishi Park has now become a popular spot for Chongqing locals to unwind or have picnics on weekends, as well as a great place for leisurely walks during weekdays. The ubiquitous rocks might just be from hundreds of millions of years ago. The park’s unique karst landform has given rise to its diverse and lifelike seaflower stones. The natural stone forest, weathered by wind and rain over the years, takes on a light gray hue, and strolling through it makes one marvel at the wonders crafted by time. The European-style classical castle, which blends Eastern and Western cultural elements, features natural limestone-style decorations that permeate every corner of the building, both inside and out, closely resembling ancient European architecture in its grandeur. Haishi Park’s 24 hills each have their own distinctive features, and the mountains are home to hundreds or even thousands of nationally protected rare tree species such as cedar and ginkgo, as well as Chongqing’s city tree—the ancient and sturdy yellowhorn. It is truly a natural botanical garden of rare plants. Emerging from the earth’s womb, Haishi Park boasts a tranquil environment, ecological balance, and year-round enjoyment, making it a rare leisure and summer retreat, as well as an educational destination for learning about nature and a natural oxygen bar on the outskirts of Chongqing. In spring, everything in the park comes back to life, the air is fresh, tender buds sprout, peach blossoms bloom, and birds sing joyfully; in summer, cool breezes blow, blue skies and white clouds stretch overhead, water lilies bloom, and the landscape is lush and green; in autumn, the hills are covered with golden fruits, chrysanthemums vie for beauty, the crisp autumn wind blows, and the sun shines brightly; in winter, wintersweet braves the snow, evoking a northern scene, and the silver world holds the promise of spring.
