Yuanqu Nature Museum

　　    Located in Yuanqu County, it is the only county-level natural museum in Shanxi Province. Covering an area of 7,000 square meters with a total floor space of 1,800 square meters, the museum includes exhibition rooms for animals, plants, minerals, and paleontology. It displays over 100 animal specimens, more than 300 exhibits (and photos) of rare plants and tree species from primeval forests, over 200 specimens of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs from Yuanqu, 46 types of mineral samples from the region, as well as numerous paleontological specimens (including rhinoceros, elephants, Yellow River monkeys, Gobi pigs, marine animal fossils, and more).
