The White Buddha Temple is located at the foot of Tongbao Mountain on the northern shore of Qinghai Lake. Established in 1593, it is the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in the Qinghai Lake area. The temple complex includes eighty-nine large and small scripture halls, featuring majestic architecture, grand scale, and a rich collection of treasures. Its sculptures, murals, and tapestries are of high artistic quality. The 10th Panchen Lama, Erdini Qoigyijabu, visited the temple twice during his lifetime to give teachings.
