Jiangzhai Village

　　Jiangzhai Village is situated in Daxi Town, Pinghe County, a traditional Hakka settlement, and is the ancestral home of the current Vice Chairman of China, Jiang Bingkun. On May 21, 2006, Vice Chairman Jiang Bingkun, accompanied by his wife Chen Meihui and others, returned to Jiangzhai Village in Pinghe, Zhangzhou—the ancestral land of their family—to trace their roots and pay homage to their ancestors. This visit marked

　　his first “root-seeking trip” back to his original home in Fujian, following his earlier “ice-breaking trip,” “economic and trade trip,” and “memorial trip.” The village is surrounded by notable regional landmarks such as the renowned Min-Guang mountain—Lingtong Mountain, the hometown of Wu Feng, the “God of Alishan” in Taiwan, and Zhuangshang Tulou, the world’s largest earthen building. These scenic spots complement one another, forming a connected route that weaves together a vibrant rural tourism circuit in Pinghe.
