Luokeng Reservoir

　　Luokeng Reservoir is situated in Luokeng Town in the northern part of Dianbai County. Along Provincial Highway Qina, it is about 60 kilometers from the county seat, Shuidong Town. It is renowned for its picturesque landscapes and tranquil surroundings. Luokeng Reservoir is one of the three major reservoirs in western Guangdong. It was built in the late 1950s during the period of "reforestation, greening, and water conservancy development." Under the personal leadership of Wang Zhan’ao, the then Party Secretary of Dianbai County, the entire military and civilian population of Dianbai braved the cold winds and scorching heat. After more than two years of hard work, the reservoir was completed. The Zhan’ao Pavilion within the area was constructed to commemorate Wang Zhan’ao, the beloved public servant of the Dianbai people, and to record the enthusiastic scene of the local military and civilians actively participating in the reservoir's construction.
