The Nanzhen Town Rehu Lake Hot Spring was formed in a low mountainous and hilly depression in the western part of the Jiulian Mountain Range of the Nanling Mountains, situated between the national-level Jiulian Mountain Nature Reserve and Chebaling. It features a tectonic erosion landform with undulating terrain and continuous mountain ridges. The area has a mid-subtropical monsoon humid climate, with no intense heat in summer and no severe cold in winter. The hot spring has the following characteristics: abundant water supply, with extractable water exceeding 700 m³/day, or 0.194 m³/second; high temperature, averaging 62°C, with the highest point reaching 80°C.

The hot spring is located in Rehu Village, Nanzhen Town, about 13 km from the county seat, and 260 km, 142 km, and 380 km from Guangzhou, Shaoguan, and Shenzhen respectively. It is connected by secondary-level roads or higher, offering extremely convenient transportation. At the same time, it is close to developed coastal cities, ensuring a rich source of visitors. Currently, the Rehu Lake Hot Spring area has nearly 16 hotels (villas), including the Hot Spring Hotel, Jinsui Hotel, and Xinghua Village Hotel. A planned hot spring town is underway, and a new hot spring-themed destination is gradually emerging.
