Huangguoshu Bonsai Garden
The Bonsai Garden is a newly developed attraction in the Huangguoshu Waterfall scenic area. It is just 500 meters from Huangguoshu Hotel and covers an area of 40 acres. The garden displays over 3,000 bonsai plants in a wide variety of shapes and colors, creating a vibrant and diverse display. Located in the low-lying western part of Guizhou Province at a relatively low elevation, the area is frost-free year-round and highly suitable for subtropical plant growth. Here, you can find a profusion of succulents such as cacti, Michelia champaca, and Yulan magnolia, as well as other heat-loving shrubs and trees. In addition, plants commonly found in southern botanical gardens—such as Koelreuteria paniculata and Aglaia odorata—have also made this their home. The garden remains lush with foliage and blooming flowers all year round. After being amazed by the grandeur of the mighty waterfall and appreciating the picturesque landscapes and enchanting charm of the Tianxing Scenic Area, visitors strolling into the Bonsai Garden along the shaded paths will feel as if they are enjoying a fragrant cup of tea, a piece of fruit, or a gentle slow movement after a lavish feast. It offers a moment of relaxation for the mind laden with vivid impressions, while the garden’s flowers and plants bring refined elegance and a uniquely beautiful sensory experience.
