Wangxiang Rock

　　    Wangxiang Rock is located in Shipanyan Township on the western side of the main peak of Linlu Mountain, 25 kilometers from downtown Linzhou. Here, craggy peaks and cliffs tower above, waterfalls cascade down, flowers and trees flourish in rich greenery, creating an elegant landscape. It has been hailed as the “Soul of the Taihang Mountains” by both domestic and international visitors.

　　    Traveling northwest from downtown Linzhou and passing through the Taihang Tunnel will bring you to Wangxiang Rock. Park your car and hike up the mountain. Along the way, you can visit Wangxiang Village, admire the Lingzhi Hanging on the Cliff, listen to the underground Dragon’s Roar, explore Xiafu Cave, enjoy the Yangtian Pool, and then climb up to the cliff top where you’ll find the precarious Study Room perched on the cliff, the Baquan Waterfall and its Curtain Cave, the One-Step-Only Plank Walk, and the Immortal’s Cave. Wangxiang Rock is enjoyable in all seasons, but autumn is particularly spectacular—when wild fruits hang heavy on the branches and red leaves blaze like sunset clouds, the scenery is nothing short of heavenly.

　　    In the vicinity of the Wangxiang Rock scenic area, there is also Peach Blossom Cave, where peach blossoms bloom in the bitter cold of mid-winter at an altitude of 1,600 meters, and Bingbingbei, where ice covers the mountain rocks even in the height of summer. Two kilometers northwest of Shipanyan Village, a white waterfall cascades down from a hundred-meter-high cliff. In the northern part of Shipanyan Township, a reservoir lies nestled in a quiet valley—like a serene lake in a high gorge—with emerald waters rippling gently. Standing on the soaring sky bridge and gazing at the high mountains and flowing waters, you’ll feel refreshed and reluctant to leave.

　　    Take the Beijing–Hong Kong–Macau Expressway near Anyang, then connect to the Anyang–Linzhou Expressway (51 km) to Linzhou City, and then take the Linshi Road (23 km) to arrive.
