Xihuaixian Lake

　　The Western Han River, also known as Rhinoceros Water or Muddy Water, originates from Qishou Mountain in Tianshui, Gansu Province, and boasts abundant hydroelectric resources. “Xihuaixian Lake,” renowned as one of the “Eight Scenic Spots of Lueyang,” is an artificial lake formed by the Hulutou Hydropower Station damming the river. It stretches approximately 3 kilometers in length and covers an area of nearly 4 square kilometers. The Hulutou Hydropower Station is located in Xian Village, Xianhu Town, 42 kilometers west of Lueyang County. It commenced power generation in October 2002. Both the station site and the reservoir area lie within Xianhu Town. This gate-dam type hydropower station has water regulation capacity. The dam stands 43 meters high, is 196.5 meters long, and the reservoir has a total storage capacity of 18.74 million cubic meters. It has a total installed capacity of 3 × 3.2 MW, with an average annual power generation of 50.03 GWh. The reservoir area extends 11 kilometers in length. The majestic dam and the serene, emerald-green waters stretch across the long valley, dotted with reed beds and teeming with fish and birds, offering an excellent ecological environment. The crystal-clear green waters blend harmoniously with the surrounding natural mountain scenery, complemented by uniquely charming agritainment spots, making for a delightful and distinctive landscape. It serves as an ideal destination for leisure, vacationing, fishing, and sightseeing, and has the potential to be developed into a comprehensive water-themed amusement park.

　　The Xian Village Suspension Bridge on Xihuaixian Lake spans over 140 meters in length, crossing the lake surface beneath the village in a single arch. This newly constructed suspension bridge, with an investment of over one million yuan, not only facilitates transportation but also, with its graceful appearance resembling a long rainbow lying across the waves, becomes another stunning scenic attraction stretching across the green mountains and clear waters.
