The valley is dotted with strikingly rugged peaks, steep and majestic. A winding stream known as Peach Blossom Creek runs through the canyon, flanked by hanging vines and sprawling thickets of mixed forest, their green waves undulating in the mountain breeze like rolling ocean tides. Highlights within the valley include Yellow Dragon Pool, Flying Dragon Gorge Waterfall, Flying Dragon Gorge Plank Walk, Nine-Tiered Waterfall, and Peach Blossom Cave.
Yellow Dragon Pool is the highlight of Peach Blossom Valley. Its water is incredibly clear, displaying various colors under sunlight. Featuring two waterfalls and two pools connected both above and below—often called the “Mother and Child Pools”—visitors can observe the patterns on the pebbles at the bottom and watch fish swimming freely in the water.
Following the Flying Dragon Gorge Plank Walk uphill leads to Flying Dragon Gorge, where the cliffs on both sides are adorned with exotic flowers, rare plants, and unusual birds, creating a delightful atmosphere. Further up, visitors will encounter the Flying Dragon Gorge Waterfall, which resembles a giant dragon with its head raised high, holding a pearl in its mouth playfully.
Within a 200-meter stretch of Peach Blossom Valley lie nine major cascades, forming the “Nine-Tiered Waterfall.” If smaller cascades are included, there are a total of over ten. The Nine-Tiered Waterfall flows gently, with visible rock strata, offering particularly spectacular views—especially between 8 and 10 a.m. on clear, sunny days when viewed from the edge of Peach Blossom Waterfall. At that time, a rainbow of seven colors can often be seen shimmering within the mist of the falls, creating a beautiful and captivating scene.
Peach Blossom Cave is located halfway up a mountain in Peach Blossom Cave Village, with sheer cliffs towering above it. The cave consists of an eastern and a western chamber—the eastern chamber being larger, measuring 30 meters deep and 10 meters wide, while the western one is 16 meters deep and 6 meters wide. Inside the cave, a well-preserved stone mortar can be found. In winter, amid the icy surroundings, peach trees on the cliffs around the cave sometimes bloom with small flowers defying the snow—either covering the whole tree in pink blossoms or displaying a single flower in bloom—creating a remarkable sight.
