Qasr Kharana
Introduction Qasr Kharana was originally a Roman fortification, converted into a palace in the 8th century, and later served as a religious site. The castle’s ground is adorned with elaborate and colorful mosaic patterns. Transportation Located 50 kilometers east of Amman, it is the first stop on the Desert Castles tour departing from Amman. Admission/Opening Hours Free, but it’s a good idea to tip the guard.
