The Beijing Shangzhuang Nalan Xingde Historical Relics Exhibition Hall is situated within the Cuihu Water Town Tourist Resort in Shangzhuang Town, Haidian District, covering an area of 22 mu. The architectural style features a brick-and-wood structure modeled after a traditional Qing Dynasty-style courtyard, with double eaves, painted decorations, corridors, and latticed windows, exuding a strong classical garden ambiance. The Nalan Xingde Historical Relics Exhibition Hall is a specialized museum that integrates functions such as cultural relic collection, academic research, and social education. It also offers leisure, entertainment, and catering services to visitors. Nalan Xingde once lived and resided in Shangzhuang during his lifetime and was buried here after his death. His father, Mingzhu, served as the Grand Secretary of the Wenyuan Pavilion for ten years during the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty. Though born into an aristocratic family of nobility, Nalan Xingde was known for his noble character, diligence, and extensive scholarly works. He is the most widely read and influential poet of the Qing Dynasty. The exhibition hall showcases Nalan Xingde’s life and literary creations through a wealth of historical documents and artifacts, reflecting the academic research on Nalan over the past century. The exhibition strives to unify scholarly content, visual appeal, and local characteristics. Adjacent to the exhibition hall lies the several-hundred-mu Cuihu Lake, offering beautiful surroundings, fresh air, and picturesque scenery.
