Baiwang Park
Baiwang Park is situated in Xibeiwang Town, Haidian District, covering a total area of about 7 hectares. The land is part of the planned protective forest belt along the Jingmi Irrigation Canal and was completed in 2006. Located in the urban-rural fringe where city meets countryside and mountains meet water, the park boasts distinct suburban characteristics. It highlights the rural-urban landscape by creating open spaces within wooded areas to serve as activity zones for visitors, fostering an open-country atmosphere. The park includes four main squares: the Central Square on the east side, Jiawang Square, Folk Square, and Sports Square.

The construction of Baiwang Park received strong support from departments such as the Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, the Municipal Planning Commission, and the Municipal Bureau of Landscape Architecture. The completion of the park has significantly improved the surrounding environment, providing residents with a great place for exercise, leisure, and connecting with nature. Like a radiant pearl, it shines with vitality and charm.

The overall design of Baiwang Park emphasizes the organic integration of nature with local culture and the countryside with regional identity, aiming to create a livable ecological environment in the mountainous hinterland, build a beautiful landscape garden by the water, meet the leisure needs of nearby residents, and enhance the quality of regional culture. The park’s theme revolves around “Viewing” and “Prosperity”: “viewing the mountains, viewing the waters, viewing the green forests” and “family prosperity, physical vitality, and spiritual flourishing.” Each step offers a new view, crafting a tranquil suburban ambiance. The park consists of four distinct scenic areas: the Central Square, Jiawang Square, Folk Square, and Sports Square.
