The Sijiao Ecotourism Tanghui Drifting Scenic Area, developed over five years with significant investment by Xia County Dayi Tourism Development Co., Ltd., is located in Sijiao Town, Xia County, nestled in the heart of the Zhongtiao Mountains. It is a pristine ecological destination that combines drifting, water-based adventure activities, pine forest villa vacations, summer retreats, farm-stay experiences, leisure, camping, outdoor cooking, and exploration. It lies 25 kilometers from the county seat and is accessible via a secondary highway directly to the scenic area. Covering an area of 416 square kilometers, the average elevation exceeds 900 meters.
The area features continuous mountain ranges, towering peaks, meandering streams, and abundant wildflowers and fruits scattered across the hills and valleys. A diverse range of wildlife and bird species thrive here. The rich forest vegetation creates a unique microclimate in Sijiao, where the average summer temperature is 9–15°C lower than in Yuncheng City. Notably, the large diurnal temperature variation ensures cool nights, far from the summer heat. This tranquil and refreshing destination offers natural serenity, far removed from the hustle and bustle of modern cities and the pollution of industrialization. The negative ion content in the air is over 300 times higher than in urban areas, earning it the title of a natural “oxygen bar.”
Especially noteworthy is the Tanghui Drifting Scenic Area, situated in Tanghui Village, Sijiao, embraced by mountains, clear streams, and gentle mountain springs. It boasts the largest canyon drifting experience in Shanxi Province, featuring an exclusive 6-loop aerial leap drift, the pioneering Canyon Warriors Adventure Drift, international-grade S-shaped and wave-shaped slides suitable for both double and six-person rides. As the first large-scale water-based entertainment and adventure expansion project in Shanxi, it offers visitors the thrill of challenging themselves and pushing their limits, making it an unforgettable experience. It is truly an ideal eco-tourism destination and a perfect summer retreat.
