This area was once an ancient battlefield and a revolutionary base, home to sites such as Mengliang Fort, Jiaozan Mound, and the garrison location of the Yang Family Generals. There are well-preserved Ming Dynasty courtyard houses, a thousand-year-old honey locust tree that makes sounds, and ancient stone slab paths. Jiakangjie and Chaizemin also lived and fought here. The command post of the 1941 “Zhongtiao Mountain Campaign,” where General Wei Lihuang led troops against the Japanese army, remains well preserved to this day.
During the nine-kilometer rafting journey, you’ll pass more than ten scenic spots including Jiaozan Whetstone, Carefree Shoal, Zhang Fei Barrier, Erlang Shoal, Dragon Gate, Tiger Gate, Stone Gate, General’s Gate, Mengliang Valley, Green Dragon Pool, and Heroes’ Slope.
