Yongding River Leisure Forest Park
Yongding River Leisure Forest Park is located in Shijingshan District, Beijing, near Lianshi West Road. Opened in 2013, the park spans 1,210,000 square meters and features main entrances, the Yongding River Cultural Square, a riverside scenic belt, as well as ten major attractions including the Town Water Buffalo, Eighteen Steps, and Crabapple Valley.

The park showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Yongding River basin through sculptures, stone tablets, and scenic walls. A wide variety of flowers and trees are planted throughout the park, arranged in an artful and pleasing layout.

The park has also repurposed a 2.3-kilometer section of the former Shougang steel slag railway line into a sightseeing track, introducing the "Yongding" vintage-style steam-powered sightseeing train and railway bicycles. The train is 27 meters long, accommodates up to 72 passengers, and completes a one-way trip in 18 minutes. Visitors can take the train to admire flowers, view lakes, and gaze across the river at the Beijing Expo Park.

The forest park has introduced single-rider and tandem bicycles at the West Gate Plaza. Visitors can use these bikes to tour the park’s landscapes, combining exercise with the enjoyment of pleasant scenery.

     Special Notes

The temperature inside the park is 2–3°C lower than outside, and it can be very cold in winter, so visiting is not recommended during that season.
