Yuhua Tea, a specialty of Nanjing and also one of China’s Top Ten Famous Teas. It has a round, green appearance, with tightly rolled leaves, straight sprouts, and white hairs like pine needles, symbolizing the unwavering and everlasting heroic spirit of revolutionary martyrs, which is why it is named Yuhua Tea.
Yuhua Tea is mainly grown in the suburbs of Nanjing. Strict requirements are applied to raw material selection and processing techniques. Before Grain Rain, tender tea buds with one leaf (2.5 to 3 cm long) are hand-picked. The production involves four manual steps: fixation, rolling, shaping, and roasting. Yuhua Tea excels in color, aroma, taste, and appearance. Once brewed, the tea liquor is clear and emerald green, with an elegant fragrance, mellow flavor, and sweet aftertaste. It helps quench thirst, refresh the mind, aid digestion, promote urination, relieve asthma, remove phlegm, and reduce fatigue and greasiness. Since 1966, it has been popular overseas and is regarded as a precious gift among family and friends in Japan and Southeast Asia.
