Nanjing Yuhua Tea is a certified geographical indication trademark.
Yuhua Tea is a specialty of Nanjing and one of China’s top ten famous teas. It has a round, green appearance with straight, slender leaves, sharp buds, and white downy tips resembling pine needles, symbolizing the unyielding and evergreen heroic image of revolutionary martyrs—hence its name, Yuhua Tea. The tea boasts excellent color, aroma, taste, and shape. Once brewed, the tea liquor is clear and emerald green, with a delicate fragrance, mellow flavor, and sweet aftertaste. It is known to quench thirst, refresh the mind, aid digestion, promote urination, relieve wheezing, expel phlegm, and dispel fatigue and greasiness. Since 1966, it has been a popular export, especially in Japan and Southeast Asia, where it is regarded as a precious gift for family and friends. (Nanjing)
