　　Chafangzi Chinese Yam -- Named a National Famous, Special, and High-quality New Agricultural Product in 2015

　　On the foundation of establishing household cold storage and trialing new yam varieties, the Chafangzi Village Agricultural Products Preservation Cooperative followed green food planting standards this year by leasing 500 acres of fertile, high-quality land free from industrial or mining contamination, and promoting the cultivation of superior varieties such as Jiu Jinhuang. During the yam cultivation process, the cooperative adopted a unified production model: “unified seed selection, unified land preparation, unified furrow digging and seeding, and unified guidance and management.” After testing by the China Green Food Development Center, the yams met green food requirements and were granted the right to use the green food label.
