Shanghai jade carving includes four types: censers and vases, figures, birds, and beasts, among which censers and vases are especially noted for their traditional characteristics. The materials are carefully selected, the designs are dignified and elegant, the decorations are simple and fresh, and the craftsmanship is exquisite and delicate. Ivory carving varieties include openwork fine carving, leather carving, and figures, all featuring unique shapes, fine craftsmanship, with a particular expertise in fine openwork carving.
