　　Geographic Scope

　　Xiangmo Mountain Silver Carp is produced in the Xiangmo Mountain Reservoir, located in Dongxing Town, Mulan County, Heilongjiang Province. The reservoir lies in the central-southern part of Heilongjiang Province, on the north bank of the middle reaches of the Songhua River. With a total designed storage capacity of 97 million cubic meters and a power generation installed capacity of 500 kilowatts, it is a comprehensive national-level medium-sized reservoir integrating flood control, irrigation, fish farming, power generation, and tourism. It is situated between longitude 127°56′36″ and 127°59′16″, and latitude 46°22′17″ and 46°24′37″. The water area where Xiangmo Mountain Silver Carp is cultivated spans 1,026 hectares, with an annual yield of 300 tons.

　　Product Quality Characteristics

　　1. External Sensory Features: Xiangmo Mountain Silver Carp has a plump and well-proportioned body, laterally compressed and slightly tall, with a relatively large head that accounts for about one-fourth of its body length. Its scales are fine, the belly is nearly white, and it has no off-odors. The taste is sweet with texture, the fishy smell is mild while the umami is strong, and the flesh is tender. Commercial fish average 2–3 kilograms per fish, with pure color, snow-white and delicate meat that is chewy and delicious. 2. Internal Quality Indicators: Due to its unique geographic climate and hydrological conditions, Xiangmo Mountain Silver Carp has a long growth cycle, short annual growing period, and high nutritional value, being rich in protein and various trace elements. Each 100 grams of fish meat contains more than 15 grams of protein, less than 5% crude fat, over 180 milligrams of calcium, over 200 milligrams of phosphorus, over 9 milligrams of iron, over 100 milligrams of magnesium, and over 6 milligrams of zinc. Unsaturated fatty acids account for ≥70% of the total fatty acids. 3. Safety Requirements: Xiangmo Mountain Silver Carp products comply with the "National Food Safety Standard – Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Food" (GB2763-2014) and the "National Food Safety Standard – Limits of Contaminants in Food" (GB2762-2012).
