Date Kernel Brush

  Origin: Hulan, Heilongjiang, China

Craftsmanship: The materials used in making a date kernel brush are meticulously selected. The bristles must be dense, short, thick, sharp, elastic, and corrosion-resistant. These special requirements can only be met by the top-quality tail hair of the yellow weasel. However, the brush head of a date kernel brush not only uses yellow weasel tail hair but also incorporates rabbit whiskers, squirrel fur, and the tail hair of fragrant civets from Hubei. In terms of craftsmanship, it is extremely refined—each strand of hair is carefully chosen and undergoes nearly a hundred processes including combing, tying, pressing, and sorting to create a brush of impeccable quality. The brush tube is also very particular, often made from the renowned fragrant lady bamboo of Fujian, with the tip inlaid with ox horn to enhance its elegance and luxury. When writing or painting, it feels exceptionally smooth and responsive in hand.

Features: The date kernel brush resembles a date kernel in shape, with a sharp tip, full and round body, and strong, vigorous strokes.
