Blunt-snout bream
Blunt-snout bream
Blunt-snout bream, scientifically known as Parabramis pekinensis. It looks somewhat like Wuchang fish, but it’s not the same. This fish isn’t very big—small ones weigh around seven or eight taels, while larger ones can reach one or two jin. Don’t let its size fool you; the blunt-snout bream is the fattiest. Yet, when eaten, it’s rich without being greasy.
