　　Body shape is rectangular. Male ducks have larger heads than females, with long and thick necks. Eyes are large and bright, with earthy-yellow irises. The chest muscles are full and prominent, the back is wide and long, the abdomen is deep and broad, and the tail is slightly upright. Legs are short and strong, with black or blackish-yellow legs and webbed feet. The feathers are mostly black except for the crop area, which is white—hence the name White-Crop Black Duck. Male ducks have dark green neck feathers and four curled ornamental tail feathers.
